The publication of this site, with its themes historical/archaeological, is beginning to give the results that I hoped, obtaining much interest among both amateur enthusiasts, as even among various experts.
Was Giorgio Banchig, editor of www.Slov.it, signal to me the presence, near the Cavern of San Giovanni d'Antro, some crosses engraved on a large stone.
These are located just below the entrance of the cave, near a small creek, right at the end of an ancient track, from the church of St.Giacomo, in Biacis, led to the cave.
The presence of these crosses, typical religious symbol, is a further confirmation the fact that the town of Antro, at the time of the Crusades, was a stop required for Templar riders during their journeys to Jerusalem.
In the little village of Antro, where now stand the houses, had to be an "Ospitale", like a kind of monastery, where these travelers might find refreshment, reception and protection.
