Starting from Stupizza and going up the trail that runs through the valley, at a certain point on the left side, you can see this big boulder, which are visible an engraving. (also recently highlighted with red paint). RLV The letters are an abbreviation for Regno Lombardo Veneto, while the number 10 and the initials CM are more difficult to interpret. I can only hypothesize that was the reference number for a topographic map, while CM may mean simply Confine Militare (Military boundary). As for the historical context, this incision was certainly made after 1815, when the Valleys of Natisone became part of the RLV, after a long period of instability and political uncertainty. Very interesting to note that, on the right is clearly visible rectangular depression, certainly made to erase a previous engraving, probably Napoleonic or Venetian.
